Great product
Excellent item for outdoor landscaping! Easy to install. We connected the plug to our outdoor landscaping transformer and we use the app on our phone to turn on and off. We also purchased the indoor plugs to use with various lamps.

Good product easy installation
The installation of the product was a breeze. Instead of using the GHome app I was able to add it to my SmartLife app to replace a product that had gone bad. All I did was plug in the GHome smart plug and open SmartLife the product went ahead and installed itself, and it was added into Alexa. it is currently online responding to all schedules.

Works great for controlling outdoor lights
We got this smart plug for our Christmas lights and it works great. We have several GHome switches in our house and have been pleased with them all. The app is very user friendly and intuitive.This switch was extremely simple to add to the app and get set up. Most of the time with these devices they need to update the firmware on the first use, and it automatically prompts you when setting it up and takes no time at all. I like that because it makes sure on your first use the product is going to be as up to date as possible.Both sides of the switch are independently programable via the app which makes it very handy for multiple items to get powew. You can choose to have the sockets activate at a set time. You can program it for different days of the week to do different things. It is extremely versatile and easy to use.We have it hooked up under a covered area so I can’t speak to its weather proofing, but given their reputation I would believe whatever the listing says about it. It’s time to upgrade your old light timer to something like this….you won’t regret it!

Ridiculous plug setup makes it unusable unless I the outlet 180 degrees due to angled plug.
Outdoor outlets have covers/lids. Rather than making the plug to plug straight into the outlet, they’ve made it a 90 degree angle to make the cord run along the wall, which makes sense. But, they then angled the rotation of the prongs by 45 degrees, which in my case, sends the wire directly into the outlet’s lid/cover not allowing me to even be able to plug it in. My only option is to remove the outlet from the wall and rotate it 180 degrees to allow the cord to be plugged in. Totally ridiculous. House has aluminum wiring which becomes very brittle and increases risk of fire EVERY time the wiring is moved. So I have to increase risk of fire just to plug this crap in.LOOK CLOSESLY AT THE PICTURE TO DETERMINE IF YOU’LL EVEN BE ABLE TO PLUG THIS INTO YOUR OUTLET BEFORE BUYING.
