    Cool and quiet
I ordered 5 N300 Pro (14tb) to use in a NAS. It surprised me how quiet the drives are and how cool they run. So far most of my time has only been spent rebuilding the storage pool, but I’m happy with the drives and their cool running temps. Granted my NAS is not very beefy in terms of hardware, but temps and noise is comparable to my old 4TB WD100EFAX drives. All drives passed the extended SMART test.Regarding the warranty, what other folks said is true, I checked my drives and they all showed NO WARRANTY on the Toshiba site. But with that said, I also bought some 6TB WD drives from Amazon as spares for another NAS and those also show “NO LIMITED WARRANY” on the WD site, same boat there.

    Great for dedicated Plex servers
I had been running a plex server with up to 18TB or so in content. This was split over 3 external usb drives (8TB, 8TB, and 6TB) but I have been running into issues with what appeared to be the drives going to sleep. However, it was the 8TB drives just simply dying, looking at the smart stats they are erroring billions of times. So, I decided to stop buying drives from Costco and just slap in some enterprise drives to my dedicated Plex machine. I paid slightly more than the lowest price for these because I wanted them to be sold by amazon. I have bought other IT items from sellers on Amazon but sometimes you get refurbished gear/drives with it being disclosed. The price per TB is higher than normal, a good price for drives in this size is around $14 per TB. So far these drives are 100% performant regularly hitting 150MBs + and have 0 errors on them. They are rated for way higher usage that I will ever use. As I migrate data and fill up these drives I will buy another as needed.100% recommended.

    It’s OK
It does what it’s supposed to do. My only pet peeve is slow on turning on and it always sounds like it’s having spasms inside.

Super reliable and very fast for a HDD
Toshiba is easily one of the best brands for HDDs so I got this to put into my UGREEN DXP6800 Pro. Showed up immediately (I’d hope so), created my RAID pool, and I was ready to go. Pretty competitive price wise and the fact it is faster than my other HGST drives is a huge plus, even if I can’t take advantage of it until I get more of them.I’ve also got a Toshiba X300 that’s 4 years old which is what drove me to get this one for my NAS. If Toshiba drives keep holding up so well, I’ll keep buying them. Very reliable.

STAY AWAY FROM TOSHIBA HARD DRIVES–28.5% FAILURE RATE AFTER 20 MONTHS!
I purchased 6 of these N300 Pro 18TB drives two years ago. I use them in a home NAS that occasionally plays movies. Last year, one hard drive died. I purchased another exact drive to replace it, and was unable to warranty the defective one. Now a second drive is showing S.M.A.R.T. errors and needs to be replaced. Again, I am faced with Toshiba telling me that my hard drive was sold to a system manufacturer with a unique system warranty, and that I need to return the drive to the system manufacturer! I bought it here on Amazon as a brand new, retail hard drive! After many decades of great memories, it now looks like I am done with Toshiba hard drives. A failure rate of 28.5% is absolutely unacceptable. Not only that, but I am going to be out another $350 to replace ANOTHER drive after only 8 months of light use! (The first one died right at 12 months of very light use!)Toshiba, please feel free to message me here and let me know that you’ll work with me to get these drives properly warrantied.

Outperforms my Crucial BX500 4 TB SATA SSD. I get about 280 MB/s when doing a data transfer to my NAS with this drive. That is typical for a 2.5 Gbps network. If it slows, which is seldom, it recovers very quickly. I am going to get another one to replace the SSD above.

Bought six Toshiba N300 Pro 20 TB drives for my Synology NAS (using five, keeping one as a spare). Shipping was fast, and the packaging was sturdy with Canadian documentation. They run cooler and just as fast as my IronWolf Pro and WD Red Pro drives. My NAS gave a “not tested” warning, but they’ve been working perfectly — quiet, cool, and loads of storage. I’ll update once I finish upgrading all five bays from 16 TB to 20 TB.6-Week Update After Completing the UpgradeAfter replacing all of my 8 TB drives and expanding the storage pool to its full capacity, everything has been running flawlessly. The data-scrubbing process completed without any errors, and performance has stayed consistently strong — still cool, quiet, and stable. The only minor challenge I ran into is that the specific serial-number range on these drives doesn’t seem to match any publicly available Toshiba documentation. Even so, the firmware they shipped with has been perfectly reliable so far. No compatibility issues, no disk warnings, and zero problems in daily operation over the last 6 weeks.Overall, the upgrade has been smooth, and the drives continue to deliver excellent performance and thermal behavior in my Synology setup.

Le rapport qualité/stockage/prix est excellent. Revient moins cher le tara que d’autres marques et une meilleure cache interne.Installé dans un NAS terramaster F2-425 2 baie qui les a reconnu et performe bien.
